Notes:
The next issue to be addressed is what controls the form and texture (steepness, relief, and drainage density in particular) of fluvial landscapes that have a mixture of diffusive and advective processes. Because of the complicated process interactions in a 3-D landscape, this issue can be best addressed by considering a simplified 2-D (profile) landscape. The analysis assumes that fluvial and mass wasting denudation are additive and that the landscape is in steady state erosion with a uniform rate of erosion.
