Notes:
In this case, instead of a nearly level surface with low fractal relief, the initial conditions were a planar surface sloping towards the bottom of the illustration with a small superimposed fractal roughness. This shows an early stage of dissection of the sloping surface, showing a nearly parallel drainage parallel drainage pattern similar to rills cut into freshly exposed embankments in soft soils. The lower boundary is being lowered at a constant rate.
