This is the final steady-state landscape. Notice that the pronounced lineation in the final drainage pattern (major channels mostly oriented along the direction of the initial slope) is inherited from the initial conditions. Thus it can be concluded that initial conditions (or other disturbances affecting the course of large channels) have a lasting effect upon the overall drainage pattern but little influence on the morphology of low order channels and slope profiles.
