Notes:
This is a simulation to show erosion of a fault scarp located in the middle of the picture. Erosion of the uplifted upland is supplying sediment to the alluvial fans at the bottom of the picture, which are growing out onto the flat lowlands. The eight-direction restriction on channel flow makes the simulated fans angular rather than fan-form. Adding a modest stochastic component to flow directions would rectify this situation.
