Notes:
This is a simulation in which an initial pediment surface has been dissected by gradual downcutting through a vertical distance comparable to that separating the early Wisconsinan terrace and the modern Fremont River. This simulation conceptually extends from the base of the sandstone ramparts (at the top) to the modern Fremont River (at the bottom). Note that although badlands form, there is no pediment at the base of the badland slopes.
