Notes:
This is the older, healed gully near the active gully shown prevously.
The healing of the gully probably occurred as a result of more moisture
availability at the base of the gully, possibly aided by a wetter than
average year which permitted establishment of vegetation. Similar natural
recovery can occur in some, but not all, gully systems before they result
in extensive dissection of the landscape.
This is the end of the section on simulation modeling of landscape
evolution.
