This is an aerial view of the badlands in Mancos Shale near Caineville,
Utah (USA) The sandstone-capped butte in the background is about 300 m
higher than the Fremont River (foreground). The badland slopes are about
30-60 m high, and a pediment surface extends from the eroding badland slopes
to the Fremont River.
